Thank you to everyone who supported our 2021 #Pride fundraiser!

CHOSEN FAMILY LAW CENTER (CFLC) and The FMs  collaborated to make this AMAZING Pride Month video fundraising project based on the “Time Warp” from Rocky Horror Picture Show!

This video celebrates & raises awareness about the beauty of family in all its forms, to support CFLC’s nonprofit legal services work for LGBTQIA, polyamorous, platonic, and non-nuclear families.   

This pride we are celebrating family diversity, including polyamorous families, platonic partners, and chosen family!

Our definition of Family can include anything you want it to mean: it could be one single person and their pet, a couple, you and your grandma, five people with whom you live, your platonic partners, your polyamorous triad or quad, your pandemic pod, you as a single parent with your kid - any form of family. 

Who got you through the pandemic and was there for you? Let’s celebrate that type of family by providing them with legislative advocacy for their rights and free legal paperwork to keep their family protected! 

If we meet our $7,000 fundraising goal by the end of June, funds will be matched and $14,000 will go directly to serving our clients who otherwise cannot afford legal representation. Every dollar counts!

With each dollar donated we are one step closer to a world where all LGBTQIA+ people feel supported within our legal system, including polyamorous, platonic, chosen, & non-nuclear families that make up the rainbow of ways that queer people form family. CFLC supports and empowers all of these LGBTQIA+ Families by providing direct legal services to low-income members of these families to create family agreements that give them stability and protection. In addition to direct services, CFLC is a founding member of polyamorylegal.org which advocates for model ordinances for multi-partner domestic partnerships for polyamorous partners, blended families, and platonic partnerships that have passed in several MA cities with more to come. CFLC is proud to serve and celebrate the diversity of our community by supporting LGBTQIA+ families.

Chosen Family Law Center is a nonprofit organization providing free legal support services for LGBTQIA, polyamorous, and other underserved families; legislative advocacy for recognition of these families; public education on these family forms; and training for professionals to support these communities with dignity. We believe you have the right to choose your family and protect your family with legal structure. 

The FMs are a bastion of queer music. Formed in 2017 by Matte Namer (they/them) and Frankie Rex (they/he), who met in high school in New York City, the Brooklyn-bred band exudes subversion with style (and of course, sex), rethinking long-standing societal programming, and the rebellion of simply being one’s authentic self all through their politically charged pop missives. With their name even being a play on the gender binary, that fluidity has always been front and center, showcased as much in the band's music as their evocative, seductive videos and stage performances.
